Today Complex Number Revision was discussed Re: Website Resources, Notes Handout and looking at the 'Binomial Theorem' tomorrow in preparation for Friday.

We then looked at an example from HW finding the equations of tangents to a given circle from a given point outside the circle. The final example in 4.4 Tangents relating to Pythagoras' Theorem (as below) was demonstrated.

Quickly at the end of class we looked at the examples in 4.5 Chords of circles.

Today we discussed the Christmas Exam and decided on a revision program.

A handout on Complex Numbers in Rectangular forms was given out. This work is to be completed and ready to be handed up on Friday 21 November.

We then looked at a Circle Question from 4.3 and looked at some new examples from 4.4 involving Equation of Tangent and Tangent length.

HW: Include 4.4 Q.14

Today we first looked at Ex. 3.3 Q. 20.

We then introduced 4.4 Tangents and looked at different ways of approaching the the first two examples in this section.

HW: Try questions from Ex. 4.4 and have a go at the Khan Academy question linked.
