section 1.7 question 3 problems.. homework friday 19th

on exercise 1.7 question 3 i dont understand how to exactly solve the equation because it says f(x)=ax+b,x=0 and then they give you numbers...do i carry out what i usally do and find out the first and second constant ? but i dont know what to do after that ?

I only require that you identify the at term as being Linear or Quadratic, ignore the rest of the question

For Q2 in our hw do we hav to write the algebraic expression or do we just say if they are a linear or quadratic pattern??
